Default Exhaust backpressure question...

So I am wanting to do Kooks Lt's with non catted x pipe and SLP LM's I imagine this will be a pretty free flowing exhaust ( and rather loud ). I dont know a ton about how exhaust setups work but I do know there has to be at least some backpressure if its too free flowing the exhaust wont scavenge very well and hp could actually be lost. Can anyone give insight is this a bad idea for a exhaust setup or will it work ok?

this is pretty debated but typically the less back pressure the more power you'll make. it's possible though that you'll trade power, i.e. lose low end but gain top end. at that point it's up to you if it's worth it or not.

you may lose a small amount of tq, gain some top end hp. but if you are not worried about squeezing every last hp out of your mustang, i wouldn't worry about it.
