Default radio issue

Whenever the radio is at low volume or completely turned down there is alot of noise (static/white noise) that comes out through speakers.

What is the fix for this issue. its relatively loud.

thanks,

There were lots of threads on this for a while and then everyone seemed to go silent on the issue, no pun intended. Maybe everybody gave up? I don't think I recall anyone actually getting it fixed. The only time I notice it is in between songs so no big deal.

I have the same thing. I never notice it due to the exhaust though. I should have asked about it the last time I was in the dealership, but I forgot.

It is out there in another post, just search for 2010 noise and you will see it. I just had my dealer look at this - I printed out that forum and took it with me. They told me that is normal noise, it is supposed to sound like that???? That was totally unacceptable plus they couldn't resolve an issue with my driver seat popping everytime you ride over a bump. They are scheduling a Ford Engineer to come from Detroit to look at this in the next week or two.

What do you mean popping? I noticed very early if my seat was in the very lowest position (electric seat) it would make a rattling noise over bumps. Bump it up a smidgeon (quick upward tap on the button) and no noise.

My shaker 500 has no noise at all between songs therefor that is not normal. On the seat do you mean it slips? When my wife bought her Accord back in 97 it had a similar problem. When I would drive and she was in the passenger seat it would slip whenever I would brake. It would only slip one notch, but that was bad enough. I had to argue a bit with Honda but they eventually replaced the track and problem solved.

Naw, it is like an actual popping... You can hear and feel a spring in the backrest popping when you go over bumps and your body shifts. They seem to think that is normal too...

Sounds like something may be crossed/touching to me. Or something simple as dust in the volume control. Does the noise change if you move the ****/button (whatever you happen to have for volume..I assume ****) slightly? If so try blowing it out with canned air or a compressor. If not, call a different dealership.

Juicedup20,

Here is the thread I started. Probably more posts than any other on this subject. There are different noises. This thread only covers one. One or both of these links ought to work to get to that one thread. I probably won't be back to this thread you started.
