Default Any Mustangs Accelerating on their own?

I saw this today....very interesting. From that website, there were many others experiencing the same thing. Do you guys think it's just the SJB being wet?

3/7/2008 - KEYSVILLE, GA
2005 FORD MUSTANG ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. HE STATES THAT THE RPM'S WOULD BE UP TO 1500. HE STATES THAT SINCE THEN, NOW IT ACCELERATES UP TO 2500 RPM'S. *KB A FLIGHT RECORDER WAS INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. THE FLIGHT RECORDER CAPTURED THE PROBLEM THE CONSUMER WAS REFERRING TO. THE FLIGHT RECORDER WAS THEN SENT TO FORD ENGINEERING AND THEY STATED THE COMPUTER WAS DEMANDING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT SHIFT SMOOTHLY. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD CLUNK WHEN THE CLUTCH WAS LET OUT, ESPECIALLY IN LOWER GEARS. *JB

My dad brought that up to me a few weeks ago...

I actually had someone in my club who had their car in the body shop and the throttle got stuck while the porter was driving? I don't know the whole story.. but this came to mind.

Check out that weblink I posted. It is scary reading about all the problems with accelerating but I do feel it is related to the Smart Junction Box getting wet.

strange. Wonder with all the Toyota stuff, this would trigger a recall finally for the water leak.

Maybe, but I really think the problem is in the electrical system. We all know how much havoc it can do when it gets wet.
In one case, the man stated it was raining when he had problems with his car accelerating......BINGO!
I do think Ford knows about it, because if you read the complaints, you will find in many cases where the owners had Ford engineers looking into it.

It's machines taking over the planet....

If you get stopped for speeding, tell the cop your car did it. Let us know what happens.
