Anyone install Boost Brothers Rev 2 headers yet?
I saw them on ebay and it says that the Rev 2 are perfect fits. Then I email boost brothers and they tell me that the Rev 2s still have slight steering shaft rub. I asked which it was in an email as well as if they can mark the headers around where they rub so I can bang it in a bit before the install.
The only response to the whole entire email was:
"no."
Frankly, I'm a little pissed off by this response. No signature, no "Thanks" no "let me know if you have any further questions" and no answer to my other question.
If this wasn't such a good deal, i'd tell them to go *&($ themselves, but instead, i'll turn to ya'll for an answer.
Anyone install rev 2's and if so, what problems did you have?

mine were supposed to be the rev. 2....they look identical to jba's and i'm really happy with my boost bro's headers...but the only gripe i have is that the steering linkage rubbed on the header...if the mechanic had known this starting out he could've fixed the prob...but within a couple weeks...it smoothed down the linkage some and now no more rubbing....but don't expect any response from their company

Their company's PR is terrible. I'm going to go with the Boost Brothers and I think im going to be installing them myself at the "auto hobby shop" on Camp Lejeune. They have lifts, all the tools I need and "know-how" in case I get stuck. Now to find a good write up...

From what I have read the steering shaft rubbing issue can be solved with a set of poly motor mounts, they raise the engine 1/2 inch or so. I have the Boost Brothers Rev. 2 sitting next to me on the floor right now and they will be going in soon, hopefully next week, and I will be doing the poly motor mounts with them so it remains to be seen, for me anyways.

This is the thread where the OP used the poly mounts to fix the rubbing issue.

Ok, call me a noob, but how do you install motor mounts with the block still in the car? do you jack it up from underneath and just unbolt them and slide the new ones in? I've never replaced motor mounts, just added new ones when I swapped engines in my mud truck.

You usually have to jack up the motor & remove the motor mounts when installing LT's.
The prothenes would be easy to install at the same time.
I didn't install the prothenes with my LT install & regretted it. Installed the prothenes the next spring anyway.
