Default SCT X3 Tuner

I have 3 tunes from Brenspeed and thinking about getting some tunes from BAMA. How many tunes will the SCT-X3 hold?

Yes, I have the SCT software on my computer and I have my tunes backed up. The important thin to do is back up your factory tune. I would not only save it to your computer, but somewhere else just in case (maybe an external hdd or burn to cd?)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the computer needs both of those to be reflashed to stock.

Ok so I just got an SCT X3 too.
How do you save your stock tune to your computer?
Especially WITHOUT removing it from the tuner?

Also... do you have to buy any software or anything?

SAVING A COPY OF YOUR STOCK FILE

* Now that the drivers are installed, open the X3/Livewire Updater software. There will be a new Icon on your desktop. (Yellow, Orange and White.)
* Once opened, click on the button labeled: "GET STOCK FILE" this will open the window asking where to save your stock file.
* Browse to the location of your choice.
* This will save your files as Stock.lbu and Flash.lbu
* The current format of the file WILL NOT load back onto the tuner as is. If a situation arises where you need to use this stock file, you will need to contact SCT Tech Support to assist you.

It sounds like here that it downloads the stock file from the tuner... takes it OFF so that it is no longer on the tuner...... why would you want to do that? I would want a copy ON my tuner AND on the computer.
