Wow, I just ordered a red G2 kit yesterday. I sure hope mine don't come out like that. Going to have to test an area first, I guess.
I don't think there was a problem with the color of my paint. I think I should have done 3 or even 4 coats. I was VERY careful and VERY meticulous with the 2 (recommended) coats that I did put on. Especially on the large surface of the front calipers, since those would get the most attention. Even still, they were not nearly as brilliant red as it should have been.
I'm going to order another G2 kit and reapply. The alternatives don't have the hardener, and are just paint as opposed to the G2 colored epoxy.
Please post some pictures of yours in this thread when you get them done.
So, I am interested in this idea. Did you take the calipers off? Or, did you mask off all the parts and just paint the caliper?
You just mask them off. The entire process was time consuming and a little tedious, but rewarding to look at the finished product. (Use 3+ coats though )

Will do, Flip. It's good that the additional coat helped. I still think you got a bad batch and would definitely do a coat with another G2 kit. I understand not wanting to do it again though, I'm halfway dreading it!
You did an excellent job, I hope I can get close to your work.
