Hey guys my buddy and I just installed 4.10s into my 05 gt and I have a strange noise now. Under acceleration its fine and coasting it is fine but under slight accel I get a slight rattling noise (not very loud)in 3rd 4th and 5th. No whine at all the backlash was set right and I added friction mod. Any ideas? We didnt take the drive shaft out we just pushed it up and put a bar across the exhaust to hold it. could the noise be somthing we did to that?

did u break them in yet or did you hear the sound right of the bat? I just got mines installed yest and when I decelerate I hear a slight whine but it seems like it has gone away. or maybe I was hearing things?

I am still breaking them in, but this sound was their right off the bat. it doesnt sound like its back at the gears it sounds like its right between the front seats.

This seems to be an issue a few other people are having after installing gears. Did you remove the axle during the install? If so, are you sure the UCA was re-installed correctly and tight?
