Default Repossessed car okay?

I love the car I just bought. A 2006 GT with cool stripes. But I just got the title in the mail from the dealer. It came with a document saying that it was repossessed at one point. Is this okay? What do you think?

I don't think there will be issues with it. I mean, it could go either way, but in this day in age, a lot of people's cars get repo'd because they lost their job or their income. It doesn't necessarily mean they abused it. They just had to let it go. IMO.

As for resale value, don't know if it affects that or not.

Dont think its anything to be worried about. Id still buy a repoed car. Just a ding on the history report. Possibilty it could have been damaged in some way being towed or something but i doubt it.

As long as it wasn't repo'ed from you I wouldn't worry...
typically that means that the person right before you is the one that it was repo'ed from...which should also mean that you should have gotten it for a steal. I wouldn't think it would continuously show up later in the car's history though...

I would be worried the previous owner bagged on it just before the hook came to pick it up. Otherwise

Their is the possibility if the person was in financial trouble he neglected maintenance like oil changes.
However thats a possibility anyway as you rarely get maintenance records with a used car these days.

I hope you bought it privately. I'd be pissed if I got a car from a dealer and they never told me that.

Do more homework next time .

Always ask for the AutoCheck or Carfax before buying.

Dealers WILL try and pull that **** too. When i bought my old v6 i asked the sales guy about the vehicle history report and he said oh yeah sure then "convienently" forgot about it. Turns out when i went to trade it in for my GT my v6 was in a pretty bad front end accident i never knew about.

got the report for the gt and its PERFECT!!

ALWAYS make sure you get the report before you buy!!!

Id still buy a repossosed vehicle tho.
