Default Went to 1/8 mile track last night for baselines...

So I went to the track last night for some baseline times. Here's the info:

Mods: Steeda CAI, Predator tune, Magnaflow catback
255 Michelin Pilot Sports in the rear...not NEARLY enough tire in my opinion.

Going to get some 285s when I get back home and also a pair of DRs (I'm in Fla...live in NC)

1/8 mile: 9.277 @ 78.9 mph
60': 2.198
R/T: .129

Spun a little out of the hole and spun REALLY bad in 2nd gear. Was shifting into third right at the end and thought I already passed the line so I pulled up. Our track down here is really crappy. Poorly lit, no overhead time clocks and HORRIBLE traction.

2nd run:
Spun 1st, couldn't get it to hook up at ALL. Ran a 3.2 60'. I didn't finish this run.

3rd run:
1/8 mile: 9.128 @ 79.4 mph
60': 2.144
R/T: .212

Spun 1st a little bit, spun 2nd really bad again. Finshed the run strong though.

All in all, I'm completely unsat with my runs. I feel this car is capable of much more. I need to practice launching this car. My old car was a 94 NSX and it got traction really well on my 275 Pilot Sports with the engine mounted over the rear axle. I could launch that car at 4800rpms and not spin at all.

I'm goin to practice slipping the clutch at 2500 rpms.

I gotta find out why I'm spinning 2nd so bad now though.

These are baseline times before I get my FRPP Hot Rods, 4.10s and LTs put in. Hopefully I can get a few more runs in before though because these runs sucked.

regular michelins suck unless you have sport cups. I'd get those DR's before you get 4.10's or you'll just have a burnout machine.

I had sport cups on my NSX and they were amazing. These ones just suck. Any recommendations on a good street tire??
