Default How to install a turbo within a 09 Mustang GT

I am planning to buy a 09' Mustang GT for my first car. I have recently grown a passion for cars, about a year now, and would love not to only modify the exterior of my Mustang GT, but the engine. From what I have heard, installing a turbo can cost thousands of dollars, and just the ecu tuning its self is extremely difficult. Can anyone tell me the whole process, steps, procedures within installing a turbo and if it is worth it . Manual transmission of course.

if your a newb at cars, dont even buy a turbo or go forced induction for that matter until you understand whats reqiured to keep it running great.

Your probably not going to ba able to install a turbo kit yourself. Look up easy to install supercharger kits like Whipple, roush, Saleen, or procharger.

Oh , alright so do you suggest going with a supercharger in contraire to a turbocharger. And how about the procharger ? Beautiful Mustang Saleen btw .

If I were you, I would buy the car and learn to drive it stock first. Even 300 hp can get away from you pretty quickly if you are not familiar with the car. Then if you decide you need big power, you can invest in a supercharger or turbo later.

I'm with ^^^^... a Mustang GT is quite a powerful first car. I'd rock that for a while and really learn to drive it (auto x or the sorts) and then eventually upgrade when your driving skills have upgraded.
