Default Need advise, transmission acting weird, Help!!!

I have a 2007 V6 auto. About 8 months ago my battery light came on. I took the car to the dealership and they replaced the alternator and did the 30K tuneup. I picked up the car and the car seemed fine but then I noticed it was slipping out of gear and then lurching into 1st. I took the car back to the dealership and they said they installed a bent transmission filter. They replaced it and said the car was 100%.

Since I've gotten the car back it has never felt like it shifted right 1st to 2nd. It's not that noticeable but when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd sometimes there is a tiny lurch. It is something most people would probably never notice and it doesn't happen every time but I notice it and I know the car never did that before. I used to go to the drag strip fairly regularly but I hadn't went since the work was done. I went this past weekend and on the first two runs the car just did not want to shift into second, it shifted but the rpms were really high and I had to back off on the gas to get it to shift. This never happened before.

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? How should I proceed? I already contacted the dealer to see how they would handle things but honestly I don't really trust them, plus I feel they overcharged me to replace my alternator. Should I call a different ford dealer? An independent mechanic? Please help, I need some advice. I love my car and I want to keep it for many years, I want it to run at it's best.

Thanks
Scott

Do you have any reputable Transmission shops in your area? Ford does charge a lot for any work being done on your car.
Hopefully some guys here will chime in. There are a few members here who are Ford Techs....can't remember their names though.
Good Luck and keep us informed.

I'd call Ford and explain how this dealership jacked up your cars tranny and demand it be fixed at a different dealership. It's worth a shot even if they blow you off, at least you tried. Wait, aren't you still under warranty?

Yeah aren't you still under warranty? The dealer should be covering these things...
