Most every state is running way in the red. You will see many more different ways that the states will tax to make up the difference.

And there are more than a few cities in California with sales tax between 10% and 11%.

Tylus: San Jose & San Francisco trump Hawaii for cost of living -- Honolulu is only 3rd (on some arbitrary list) -- but I get your drift.

If Prop. 13 is ever repealed, there will be a mass exodus out of this bleeding red ink state. Screw the weather.

damn thats a high sales tax so i guess ct is not so bad with its 6.5%

We are the only province in Canada without a sales tax, where as the rest of the provinces pay roughly 7.0%. I am thankful to be in a right-wing redneck province
