Dealers and the 5.0 Mustang!!
Alright I want to just say none of these dealers seem to understand their job when it come to the car business! Some dealers Ive called did not even know about the 5.0, and some said they wont have none until the fall!! I was like are you serious, and I have mine ordered but cannot not get the dealer to give me an estimate time of arrival, another guys had the nerve to tell me my dealer is lying to me and saying theres no way ford will let them have them because they are not due to be released until Jun 1st LOL! Some of these dealers really need to get educated anyone have any similar experiences with their local dealers?

Im finding that out weinerdog sucks it has to be that way, my guys is dealer is okay but everyone else I called to see who was going to have the soonest eithier where rude or did not care or simply did not know anything! I wonder if it is true that no ford dealer is going to have the 5.0 on their lot until June 1st, I dont believe that since I see some guys on here expecting their cars Apr 17th!

Perhaps you should have a different dealer.
Our inventory manager calls our customers with updates on special orders. My car was assigned a VIN a few weeks back, and built Monday. Still waiting for it to ship, but....
I can ask Monday if we can track other dealers orders for ya.

I guess this may come as a shock but most people at the dealership are only interested in selling cars that they HAVE on the lot!
They could not care less about a car that isn't even for sale yet.
"Now let's see if we can get you into a new Ford Edge!"

All of the Ford dealerships around here have the fast food attitude when it comes to selling cars and service. Some people just show up for the $$$. It's sad when the buyer knows more about the car than the person who's selling it, imo.

I have purchased 12 brand new cars in my life to include two Mustangs and one thing I know for sure GrayGhost is that it is not at all uncommon for the customer to know more about the car than the salesman. As someone pointed out, it's just a job for them. I've actually heard stories about a salesman at a Jeep lot who was looking around under the dash of a Jeep Wrangler for the hood release. Anyone who has ever owned a Jeep knows what is wrong with that.
I'm curious if you put any money down when you ordered your Mustang. If the dealers can't even order them yet then they just put that money in the bank. Not that it won't get credited to your purchase, I'm sure it will, but it just tells me that they knew they couldn't order that car but didn't mind taking your cash. That way the get both the benefits of having some money to put in the bank and the assurance that you'll be back for the car because you're invested in it.
Dealerships are crooked, I know big surprise right. You have to be on your toes and have your head on a swivel around them. I know it's frustrating and you are absolutely right to be frustrated. I mean look, we are spending many thousands of dollars here and in most cases that results in a substantial monthly payment for the next several years and the dealerships treat you like you're just ordering a pizza or picking out a new pair of shoes. They really don't care and that is a big part of the reason why people hate buying cars.
Just hang in there. Personally when I find myself dealing with a car dealer that has crappy customer service I become a really crappy customer.

I have NEVER met an educated car sales person. Never. In fact, I got an alignment yesterday and was poking around at the '10s on the lot when I was approached by a sales man. The ONLY question I asked is when do u expect the 2011s and he replied "November."
Are you ****ing serious?! Are you that dumb, ignorant, or do you take every customer as a fool. I will never buy from the vultures, and will always go straight to fleet sales to skip all the BS. Ridiculous. Gets me so fired up that I (or any basic mustang fan) know the product better than any of these guys.

I remember when I first purchased my pony I asked the 'salesman' how much HP the 4.0 had (For ****s n' giggles). He told me around 250hp, lol. I told him he was wrong but he kept swearing on those numbers without hesitation or flinching a muscle. I left then came back and went directly to a manager, lol. Even then they tried to sell me a focus.
