Default What Could I Sell My Stang For and Is This a Good Deal?

I have the opportunity to get a 2007 Performance White w/ Vista Blue Stripes GT500 Coupe w/ 12,000 miles for around $33-35K. I think this is a pretty good deal, but the only way that I could bring myself to do it is if I can get a decent private sale on my car. I currently owe $5K on the car, and it has 46,xxx miles on it.

My Car from the Factory

I have the following mods on my car:

Engine/Drivetrain:

JLT CAI
American Racing Headers 1 5/8" Long Tube Headers
American Racing Headers O/R X pipe
Pypes Mid Muffler cat back
Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter
FRPP 4.10 gears

Suspension:

H&R Race Springs (1.5" front/1.4" rear drop)
Koni Yellow Shocks/Struts
BMR Panhard Bar

Wheels/Tires:

Carroll Shelby CS40 - Black with machined face and lip
Falken 452 w/ ~5,000 miles on them
Front: 20x9 (255/35/20)
Rear: 20x10 (285/30/20)

Appearance:

Cervini's 2.5" Cowl Hood
3DCarbon Ducktail Spoiler
GT500 chin spoiler
Mirror Caps
8" Shorty antenna
Tinted!

The question is, how much can I reasonably expect to get from a private sale on my car? Additionally, is this a good deal?

It is hard to get your money back out of the mods on these cars. Unless you are able to find another enthusiast to buy it. That is a good deal on the GT500, I would sell my car in a heart beat if I had the extra cash.

def. a good deal for the 500, yours you have two options:
1. the easiest way would be to have someone buy it as it stands
2. if you still have all the stock parts you could put them back on, unfortunately for this case you have a decent list and that would take a long time and the dealer would probably only give you 13,000. but then you could try and sell all the parts to make up some of the loss
that is what i was told when looking at the '11. i owe about the same as you do, but i don't want to pay another 4 years worth of car payments, but the '11 would be nice

none of your mods any any value to the GT, with the possible exception of the rims and tires.
I'd say you'd be lucky to get $11,000 on a trade-in and maybe $14,000 Private Party.

Take off the mods and sell them for some gas money for the GT500. A stock Mustang sell much easier than one that's got that many mods.

I got almost 20k on trade in for my 2007 GT when i got my GT500, and i had about the same amount done to mine that you do (with the exception of the lowering springs and dampeners) and about the same amount of miles. I also found a GT500 for a great price, a little over 30k for mine but mine has quite a few more miles than the one you are looking at. The only thing i kept from my GT were the CS40 rims, unfortunately i messed a couple up during the snow storm we had here this year. Anyways that is a good price on the GT500 and if i were you i would try to get at least 16k-18k for your car.

you could prolly get 15-17 for it. thats around what 99% of dealers would price the car at on their lots. Selling yourself you can advertise your mods to get a little more money.
