Default Are Bad hubs bad???????Driving on bad bearings okay?

So I think I need to replace my front right hub? My car is making a humming sound that is directly proportional to the velocity of my car. When I stop the humming sound stops as well. It almost sounds like the hum my tires make on the road, but louder. When I turn left it goes away, when I turn right the sound comes back.

If I am correct and the problem is the bearings inside my hub I am going to replace them as soon as I can. Ford quoted me at 140 per hub.

Problem: I cannot replace my hubs at least until the weekend after next. Is that going to be alright to drive around on bad bearings? What could happen?

If you drive with a bad hub and bearing you could also damage the spindle, plus it causes alot of extra heat in the wheel and brake area. Their easy to change and you could by them cheaper at napa, advance auto parts try to buy on made in the USA and not China. IMO

If the sound is more pronounced when turning right, then it's most likely the left hub that needs attention. When you turn left, the weight of the vehicle loads the right (passenger) side of the vehicle. Right turn loads the left (driver side).

I would get it looked at soon. If it is the bearing, the spindle could get damaged as stated above.

Thanks guys!

Someone from work told me to replace both of my hubs? Should I?

I also bought a new set of wheels from cruizin concepts and had to beat in my bearing cap to make the wheels fit (what the mechanic recommended and now I am wondering (20k miles later) if that is why the hubs are bad
