Default Cleaning JLT elbow + Cabin air filter change

Anyone know what would be best to clean the intake elbow? I tried just wiping it down but it doesnt seem to do the job as well as I would like. Also I picked up an amsoil filter, great product and I like the blue look in the engine bay.

Changed out the cabin air filter today, no pebbles, twigs, or other things people have found but it was still very dark in comparison to the new one.

My jlt elbow will just not come clean. I try my best to hide the discoloration by applying tire shine to it. Picking up a new filter is good, I just used K&N's cleaning kit for my filter.
