I remember doing it with my 1/4" socket wrech and it wasn't very hard.
I'm not worried, like I am going to snap the bolt or anything, but that is a bearing. There is a torque spec because its lubricated medal on medal. Too much or too little pressure, and the motor just will not last as long, and you have no way of knowing if it is set to spec without using a torque wrench and without having other forms of resistance removed, as intended. I know it does work, and people have done it, but are we sure that it will still be performing the way it should 60k miles down the road?

I've seen pictures of cams being installed at well known shops with all tools presents to include power tools, and the only tool missing is the spring tool and no sign of followers being removed. I'm comfortable doing it that way... But it's like everything we do... To each his own ya know...

Did you get my PM BTW???

Hey some of the folks chimed in and wanted to know more info on this Cam.
1 Sorry I could be no help on the install I had Dave at Brenspeed do the install.
#1 thing I will say is let the car warm up and get past the start up idle and then it drives and shifts fine not to say it has problems.
The power gains are great and in person the idle is over the top.
At low RPM's you will feel that the clutch to shifter relation has changed a little bit but is still 100% better than the original Thumper profile and what I mean is you have to learn the Thumper and at times slip the clutch in and out while in heavy traffic. My over all review is these Cams give the N/A owners what we have been looking for I will say the gear is a must I went with the 3:73 if you race or want to race the 4:10 is the way to go for the straight line folks.

So how is the seat of the pants feel for the new power? Is it pulling way harder, very noticeable?

With my 127550s, the seat of the pants test data was ruined as...... a foreign substance made it all squishy.

I'm still thinking about going with the 127550s... You only have a email tune right? Not a dyno tune... I'm wondering if it would be fixed with a Dyno Tune.

better yes, fixed... not so sure. It actualy seemed pretty good driving around today. Think the temp effects them a bit too. It was 70 today though, and was fun to drive. Do you know what year heads your running? the 08+ has more plug options as well.
