VFN Fiberglass?

VFN 3" Cowl Hood?
Anyone heard of VFN Fiberglass? Are their products any good? I'm looking at their 3" cowl hood (bolt on). The cowl looks like it has smoother lines than most cowls I've seen for our stangs. It also extends to the front edge of the hood. The price is $450.

By the way, I'm no longer interested in the '67 style hood like I posted about before. I want something to get rid of heat in the engine bay and every little bit helps now that I'm boosted. My other choices would be the Kaenan 3" cowl or Steeda race cowl. The Steeda is more expensive though.

I have never heard of them but I have seen the hood on the Sutton Mustang and I think it looks really good. I have been trying to find out who made it myself. I think the Steeda hood looks great also. Im torn between which cowl hood to get myself.

They sell very light body parts or whole body shells for dragracing. It's an option for serious weight reduction but not all sure you can use their products on a street vehicle. Probably have to use Lexan plastic for windshield and doors for example. Hoods look nice but may be an unfinished product for tailoring for the needs of each customer.
Call them and see. You always have to consider extreme weight loss versus potential loss of structural integrity

VFN is very popular with the F-bodies. Atleast they were when I had my camaro. I'd say it is the most popular cowl hood for the 99-02 Camaros. Alot of people on the forums I was on had them and they were all street cars. Hope this helps
