Default In all the cars ive owned....

Ive never heard this problem before:

-Symptoms

1. After hard accelleration, the car makes a fairly loud ringing noise from the engine bay.

2. It stops after coming to a stop.

3. Happens when cruising.

4. Supercharger oil levels are fine.

Its not a screeching, grinding, or a brake noise Ive heard before. Its just a constant ringing noise that stops after the rpms drop.

- No drive-ability issues have been noticed.

Are you sure its not pre-ignition? That sounds like shaking a tin can with small ball bearings inside (high pitched and metallic).

I havent checked that, but free revving when the car is standing still doesnt cause the issue.

Only when the car is under load and driving. I think this might be tied into the possibility of one of the bypass valves on my Novi system failing.

Just recently BOTH my front O2 sensors went bad. If the valve isnt venting properly Im thinking it could have been causing an overly rich condition burning out the sensor?

Im just throwing things out there...

Ok so I did some more testing, it happens when the car is at speed above 40-50mph, and even when I toss it in nuetral.

It sounds like an airplane landing when the engines are on decel if that makes any sense. Its a really soft ringing noise.

- The only thing recently done to the car is the rear pinion seal was replaced because it was leaking.

Is it gear whine from an improperly installed pinion seal? I remember another member having problems with gear whine and vibrations with his 1 piece driveshaft because the pinion seal was hit into the diff with a hammer or something and slightly misaligned.

EDIT - Nevermind, you say the noise is coming from the engine bay.
