Default Factory Workshop, Wiring, Emissions and Parts Manuals and DVD

Is Helm Inc. the only source for these documents?

My preference is a nice printed factory shop manual, plus a CD / DVD for quick reference.

Any inexpensive factory shop manual CD / DVD available?

Same also for the parts manual. I didn't see those on the Helm site. Who sells the parts manuals?

The Helm site doesn't list the 2011 yet. I hate having to pick up the phone...

I get mine off ebay. Wait a few months and the Ford manuals will appear. Also, the manual on DVD will appear - usually an older version from a Ford dealer.

The 2011 service manuals are not yet available.

FYI, the 1998 and earlier Ford manuals have discounted pricing.

Now that I have my new vehicle I again tried to get the manual.

They still don't show on the Helm web site.

They told me on the phone that these won't be available from Helm until February 2011.

They told me I could get the manual at the dealer before then, but my dealer says no.

Genuine Ford and worth every penny.
iT IS soooo EASY TO FIND INFO with
the printed version and nearly impossabe
with the DVD versions...
And dont even mention the ONLINE version...

It is lame that the manuals are not available for such a long time after the car is on the market. I wanted to buy an Owner's Guide to read while Ford was doing its thing with my factory order, but no luck. The Workshop Manuals took even longer to become available. Depending on what you may be doing, the Workshop Manuals are not the only material you might need. I also bought the Wiring Diagrams manual; that contains information that is not included in the Workshop Manuals.

When I attempted to get manuals from my dealer's parts department, they told me to order from Helm. So that seems to be pretty common.

But the Workshop Manual has lots of useful information that is not in the Owner's Guide. It tells you how to do a "Walk-Around" test of the speakers, how to test the relative signal strength of a radio signal so you can compare antennas, and many other things. Also, if you are modding the car, it helps to know the stock setup.

How can you read the manual if you can't get a copy?

The Helm site now permits enrolling in an E-Mail notification for availability on these documents.
