timi...

Yup... the 06's cost a little more...

The difference.... 06 has 2 new color options.
The 06 V6 has a "Pony" package that is a special grill with fog lights and a "corral" around the pony on the grill.
The 06 comes with Air Pressure Sensors in the tires.
The 06 has an 18" wheel option

That it!... no other difference.

If your driving on the street - especially a GT, Nobody will know if it is an 05 or an 06 unless you tell them.

quick question- when did you order and do you know what priority code they put on it? I ordered 7/26, they put code 40 on it, asked today to see if they might bump to 10...I'm probably at least as excited as you are, but REALLy would like to know what backlog is...got the dora, called ERL still "clean/unscheduled-not serialized"...from what I'm reading I think its been running around a month after serialized, just curious how long after order till serialized and how much priority code affects...
Hope to read SirScott's a happy camper around sept 1...and hope I wont be far bahind but I'm getting worried

the guy that has been working with me at the dealer has been a real pain in the butt. so there hasnt been to much contact from him so i only just got the VIN number and the build date today. none of the other stuff. i ordered my car back in the end of may. and only that much info today.my first car buying expirence and it hasnt been the most pleasant. gimme me a sour taste in my mouth for the whole thing.

Congrats! Now you have a good idea of when to get yours. Mine may come some time in October, from what my salesman said, I ordered it June 22.
What color, options, did you order?

So far people are saying the latest price guides have thier 06 Mustangs at an ever so slightly lower cost! Destination fee has gone up 20 bucks tho.

I read the owners manual for the 06. Nothing about the Air pressure monitoring. Also I read in Modern Tire Dealers Magazine that its not required until 2007, and in fact the major tire companies are suing to force a change in this could effect the date.

sorry... I could Have swore I read that - I remember because I was thinking to myself "WTF - Why didn't they put that in my 05!?"

Here is a link in Autoblog mentioning they are required in 06' passenger car models.

I'll have to poke around see if I can find anything else.
