Find out which gears you have!
Is there anyway to find out which gears my 2010 GT has in it?
I bought it used, and have found it is not stock. There is a tune on the car, from where i do not know, and i have no tuner. The exhaust is not factory ford, and I want to put gears in the car, but i dont want to waste money or time if they are already in there....
any suggestions?

If you suspect the rear gears have been changed, you need to raise the rear of the vehicle. Mark the driveshaft, and turn the rear wheels once while noting how many times the driveshaft turns. A 3.55 should spin the driveshaft 3.5 turns, while a 3.73 will spin the driveshaft about a quarter turn more, and a 4.10 will spin the driveshaft 4.1 times.

its on the axle pumpkin or the white sticker on in your driver door jamb. Look for axle code.
BG - 3.31 - non-limited slip
CD - 3.55 - limited slip
CG - 3.31 - limited slip
CB - 3.73 - limited slip

check your tire height and speed at certain rpms in a certain gear.. this should be able to tell you.
there are several "top speed calculators" online where you input rpm, tire diameter, trans gear ratio, and rear end ratio.

That may be true. However, since he's already found that part of the car is no longer stock, he should at least consider the possibility that the gear might have been changed which would make the label inaccurate.
The cost for a tune/tuner and exhaust is in the same ballpark for what a gear swap would be. So if the previous owner would shell out for what he did for what upgrades are known, there's reason to at least suspect that the gears may not be stock as well.
