Why buy a 2010 when 2011 has 400 HP?
Many people will tell you the styling of the 2010 is fugly................... for me, the rear end is not so good. I really prefer the styling of 05-09.
Auto or manual is truly personal preference. Auto at the track is way easier to be consistant. Manual is fun to drive everyday except in traffic. There is no right or wrong.
I love my car. I specifically wanted an auto for racing purposes. I already own a stick vehicle when I want to bang gears. I am sure you would be happy either way.

He can get a 2010 gt for a great deal... I bought mine new for cheaper then most used 09's were going for! And everyone I have spoken to has said how much nicer the new body style was, it seems like its only this forum and a few others that don't like it.
I bought a stick with the 3.73 rear axle....definitely happy with my decision.

^I'm assuming he wants a 2010 to save money, some 2010s are being sold off lots at GREAT prices
I have a 2010 GT, manual transmission. I love it. Many people complain about the rear end, but its really not that big of a deal, its not that bad. I do like the 05-09 backs better, but i still like the 2010 rear end, just not as much
I had trouble deciding between manual and auto too, and I'll tell you what many people told me when I was younger: "If you want a sports car, there isn't a choice between auto and manual. There's just manual"
Personally, I think i'd be fine with getting an auto sports car, cause its easier in traffic and you have no worries. But manual is def more FUN and gets you in tune with your car
It all comes down to what YOU want tho
