I have the illuminated door sills on mine (came with it) and it is directly tied to MyColor. It's really cool looking so if you can find a kit to install, I say go for it. It's actually one of the biggest compliments I get on my interior from people who haven't seen the ambient lighting setup before.

So, I'm still a bit confused. If we don't have ambient lighting, can we still use these?

My headlights and gauge cluster lights come on when I unlock the car. I have MyColor. Ideally, I would like the door sills to light up along with the gauge cluster. That way, when I unlock the car, they would light up in the same color as the cluster. I could then adjust the color to how I like it.

If these work like that, I'd be all over them. It seems like a killer personalization mod.

MYGT500, is this guy allowed to post info about the products if he doesn't try to sell them? Like, just info about how they work, or is it against the rules just because his company makes them?

I don't think it would be hard to tie these into the rest of your lights. All the ambient lighting is are additional LEDs that are hooked up to your MyColor, so when you change the color of the gauges it also changes the color of those additional LEDs that make up the ambient lighting kit. The door sills are usually included in the ambient lighting kit. But, like I said, the ambient lighting kit are just EXTRA LEDs that tie into the MyColor Option.

Info about his products is fine but links to websites for any business that any member is affiliated with is not allowed....there is a fine line and that is the moderators judgment as to if it is advertising or just info at times and thats why I left his post and removed links....I am double checking to see if the company he works for is a sponsor or not.

hope that helps and the fact that he has no sponsor tag under his username lead me to act accordingly....

You have to make that photo album public to view those.

Did this guy ever become a sponsor?
