Whose laughing now about the '10's? The rapeup on the '11's will be like that until the '12's are going to be released! Plus the bugs that need to be worked out of 2 brand new engines! The both will sell out because of the hype but there will be none sold anywhere near invoice!!!!! Wait a while for the problems to be worked out and the prices to drop before taking the plunge.

In fact, I know there is at least one dealer on this very forum that will sell you the car at or below invoice and have it delivered to you!
No fear mongering necessary, these will be readily available everywhere in a month or two. The only reason you'd pay sticker (or above) is because you're impatient and some dealer tried to take advantage of that.

The dealer markup on the new Camaro had me across the street and into my new 09 GT. So lets hope Ford is better than the Chevy dealers. Did it with the c6 vette, gto, and the new Camaro. I'm about ****in sick of dealer markup. No wonder no one wants to trust them.

but he is dead on about bugs...05 and 06 were ripe with little annoyances and some major issues (water leaks for one). While the 2011 body may be beter off than the 2005 body was, the motors are TOTALLY New.

If you trust a stealership to keep their word on not charging over sticker you are a fool! And as they say a fool and his money are soon parted!the dealership was taking advantage of the hype and was willing to make a deal with a car that wasn't even built yet! Be prepared to get raped when your car arrives at the dealership! They will be very apologetic and throw in some extras free, to make it seem like you aren't getting screwed but you are! Make sure to PM me after said rapeage so no one else knows about it

Price is a tad high on that one listed. Its a convertible sure but I can't figure how they got to 45k. It does have a lot of nice options but it should have the brembos and a back up camera and security package to get to 45 by my math (dont think brembos were avail on vets)
for comparison see my sig. That was 37k.
Also the camaros WERE marked way up, for about 6 months after they released. GM WILL have to sale them at below sticker to compete now.

Ok I see how they got to 45 now.
Sigh a Shelby is what? 53?
And hooking up a 5.0 to an automatic w 3.15 gear ratio seems like a damn cryin shame.
I doubt it will break 5 seconds for 0-60 w that setup.
Be warned, don't buy one like that and then challenge a 10 gt w track pack....

Do you realize what 1st gear is like on the new auto? It's REALLY low. It makes sense why the rear gear is what it is.
The MSRP of a 2011 GT500 is $48,645. I built one online with $2,511 worth of options (electronics package and a few small things) and it came to (plus the dest charges) $52,006.
