I believe that is just an X pipe that takes place of the H being cut out. The cats will stay intact. Not sure if you knew that or not. The violators sound decent IMO though.

I dont know anything about the car yet..its my first mustang and I just got it on thursday night..LOL So would it be beneficial if I got that xpipe or just get the Pypes violator

goto brenspeed and buy a pypes x, it the complete pipe and its stainless and a nice piece for about 170$ catless and the catted runs a little over 300$

Those look like shorty x-pipes to be used with long tube headers. Check out brenspeed or american muscle....they got the pypes x-pipe with or without cats...and also the beast system which is the x-pipe and muffler for around $400.

Dont waste your time with the x-pipe...neither will improve your preformance..just the sound of your exhaust...I had the pypes violators and they are not bad a little better then stock... I have been threw many exhaust looking for the right one...SLP loudmouths hands down sound are the best...I just bought a 2010 gt and went to a muffler shop and had them delete/take off the mufflers and put some tips on..you can pick what ever tip/size/design of your choice..and its half the price of the slp's...good luck

I have also been through many set-ups. Just today I took my MACs off and put my SLP LMs back on. Right now I am running essentially a midpipe set-ups: Pypes catted X, 12" resonators/glasspacks and SLP LM. I can also run the same set-up with MACs instead of SLP LM.

well I just put them on and fired it up..sounds a little louder and a little more aggressive then stock..Thats what I was looking for. I didnt want anything crazy loud I just wanted that had a little more rumble and sound to it..so these seem to have fit what i was looking for..I guess I will be able to judge it a little better tomorrow after I get it out on the road

only a little huh? My Violators seemed to have always screamed. I love mine! Granted I have a lot more done to mine these days, but I always liked them.

05xrunner 05-09-2010 12:13 AM

well I wasnt able to do much with the sound now..I only started it and gave it a little blurp on the pedal..it was midnight when i finished and I just wanted to really make sure I had no leaks coming out. I didnt want to wake anyone up

JDWalton 05-09-2010 09:16 AM

fair enough, this is what my violators currrently sound like:

I'd say they have potential. I know there was a point of modification where they sounded raspy but just keep modding and they will come back around! lol

05xrunner 05-09-2010 03:21 PM

well after being out in it today..I have to say I really like the sound they make. They are louder then stock and sound aggressive if you are really on it but are mellow just cruising..They seem to be perfect because I didnt want an exhaust that was obnoxiously loud
