Anyone who thinks the traffic cops do not target sports cars, ricers, big trucks, or any other vehicle that looks like it might have a young driver is either naive or blind. However, don't we knowingly assume that risk when we decide to purchase a Mustang and even modify it to be louder, faster, and flashier? The police are just doing what the police do and this game has been going on forever. I get pulled for no reason all the time in my loud flashy Mustang, probably 6 times within the past year without being issued a warning or a ticket, but I know how to play the game and so do the cops. Eventually you will learn how to play, too. I just don't understand how some people get mad that the "attention getting" car they purchased is..........."getting attention"......If you were a cop would you pull over the minivan full of kids or the 20 yr. old in the Mustang GT? All cops are not jerks and most of the time they are annoyed that they have to pull you over for being retarded. The last time I got pulled over the cop and I talked about exhaust setups for 15 minutes because he thought mine sounded good and was looking for an exhaust for his own Mustang.

Well I'm not 20 years old and I got places to go. If they want to talk about exhaust, they can come here or go to a club. Yes, I do enjoy compliments but being pulled over for nothing is a waste of my time. Wouldn't you be upset if you were meeting up with a friend you haven't seen in a while just to get pulled over and yelled out for no reason whatsoever? I understand that I drive s flashy noisy car but I don't drive like a douche and I don't drive stupid. Its the sterotype finger pointing game back n forth betwern cops and drivers, except cops got the power.

Lol my mustang is loud as ****, so was my last one. I hauled *** everywhere, drifted, whatever.

One ticket that I gladly paid.

To all of you imigration people...you try living in the filth and violence they have to deal with. You'd want to get away to somewhere safe for you and your family too.

This really getting OT, and I can definetely understand where you are coming from, but there is a process and it doesnt involve just running across the border. There are so many immigrants that work so hard to come to the USA legally and then you have people that undermine the whole process. My parents wanted to live the american dream and to give me the chance. We didnt just climb out of a crate that was loaded onto a boat.

Everyone who shows up in court to get their ticket reduced is a slimebag???

Hell I have done some stupid things while driving and have no points on my license because I'm willing to go to court. So maybe if you didn't react like such a #bag you might have someone agreeing with you. I'm not a cop, I don't even personally know any cops but I don't agreed with you calling anyone willing to do that job lazy or worthless. They are doing their jobs. Willing to do that job, to sometimes put themselves in the line of fire "To protect and serve." That's why know matter how much I disagree with some of the things I've had done to myself or even seen happen on the road. If I am pulled over, I will always show an officer respect.

feel lucky that you even have a track that you can drive to, bc where i live we have none.
if i had a track that was 3 hours away, i would drive there.
Agreed. Keep the Stang. Any car can go fast enough to get a ticket, just be more careful and you'll be OK.

I also wish I had a track to take my Pony to. If that was the case I'd definitely be into performance mods. But for now a trip to a track would be a once-a-year special occasion, not worth the money IMHO.

Just get a a good radar detector. I have Escort Passport 9500ix and its worth every dime... Speeding ticket is not the end of the world... But do be careful! ( second one will cost you about 4000$ if you count long term insurance hike ) Here in NJ your speed would not even be considered speeding ( LOL just 12 over ??? ) ... I got suspended for going 35+ over the limit once ( 90 on 55 ), which was by FAR not the fastest I have gone around here... So far I got 4 speeding tickets, 2 careless driving cits, and numerous small bs charges during last three years... Don't ask how much my insurance cost though :-)

.....
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow. But he won't know what to make of your blinker signal that says you are about to turn right. This is to let him know you're pulling off for a proper place to talk. It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.
