well the base is going to be windveil blue since the plane is majority blue on top, im not sure im going to work the side silver into it because it hay be too much for a car.

but most likely going to do some sort of yellow front striping, grill ideas, black hood maybe, incorporate the star logo into it, and so on

What about a shaker hood but powder coated yellow? that would look pretty sick especially if you had a small accent stripe in yellow leading up to it

Save up and get an airbrush artist to put a rivet/seam line along the length of the car to split up "body panels" and stuff and give the appearance of many different pieces of metal attaching together like the panels on the body of the P51.

I build custom choppers and we did a P40 tribute bike a while ago with a similar theme and airbrush work, it turned out great!

On a side note I was lucky enough to get a shot of my car with a P51D last fall at a car/plane show at IAD - Slender Tender & Tall.

the airbrushing sounds like an awsome idea!!! maybe ill look into that down the reoa once i get the build going
