Are you paying cash for this car? or loan through bank?
just curious.
So true about getting addicted to modding and upgrading these cars. I dont make much money but i have been doing everything in my power to scrownge up money for mods lol. I have cut out pretty much ALL useless spending to get money together for mods.

Things I would look for ask about as a fellow 05 owner
parking break cables been replaced?
any issues fueling especially when colder out, some have issue where the pump will kick off alot
any fuel pump issues - after cruising for 20+ min at a constant rpm (highway speed) when u go to jump on the car the car will miss. the fuel pump cavitates, after a few seconds it will clear up

Welcome and congrats from another n00b! I'm looking too, '05 to '08 GT. I've found driving 120 miles can save me around $2500 - $4000!!!!
Dealers think people around here are all rich!
Anyway, best of luck, and I'll be joining you soon!

Wow - $10,800 seems like a good deal
I dont own a mustang yet either, but am also looking at an '05 GT. Dealer out here on the east coast wants just under $18K for it.
Granted it has about half the miles of the one that you're looking at (under 45K) - and NADA seems to support the value of roughly $17K.
I was thinking of offering them $16K for it, but after seeing this guy looking at one for almost $10K, I'm a little nervous.
What do you guys think? Go for the deal, or should I run away and keep looking?

As I read the OP's post and his mention about the alternator and the cluster, my mind also jumped to the WATER LEAK TSB. I hope to god you're not buying this car from someone who's dumping it because of that. If so, you're in for a nightmare. If not, then congrats and enjoy the repairing/modding.
