Pics: Need Opinions on My Decklip Emblem
I'm debating on changing up my decklid emblem/logo. I have it custom painted now (see below) but from far away it just looks white. You can't see the detail until you get up closer. I've attached pics of both ways.
Here's what I'm thinking about doing:
Option 1: Removing the outer part of the emblem/logo and putting the chrome piece back in and leaving the center painted white. (that way, only the center part of it is painted white)
Option 2: Removing the center part of the emblem/logo and replacing it with the stock version and leaving the outer portion white.
Option 3: Removing the entire white emblem/logo (outer and inner) and replacing with stock (like pictured in the stock picture).
Help? Ideas?
Thanks!

I like the custom one. But I'm biased....I've developed a severe hatred for my stock one lol. I wish it just wasn't there to begin with.
Honestly I think I like your painted one best with that lid cover..

If I change out portions of it, it won't require painting.
I feel like I'm missing the chrome on the back. I have the chrome pony on the front and on the sides, but the one in the rear has none. I feel like it messes up the symmetry.....

I think you should chrome the pony and the Ford Lettering. Possibly the tri-bar outline as well. I would want to leave the custom paintwork intact but give it a little more pop.
I'm actually now thinking leave the tri-bar as it is. I think it would look better with the FORD and the pony popping out. I would leave the tri-bar painted over, or if you really wanted to get fancy, sand the tri-bar off of it completely and just have the pony and the lettering visible.
JMO.

The reason I went with the "no more painting" option is because it would probably require hand painting which could turn out very badly.
