Why the 5.0 over a 370z?

Im purchasing a new vehicle in the next month or so, and I need help deciding. Im torn. My problem is that I have fallen in love with the 370z over the last couple of years, and I can get a great deal on a 40th anny 370z. I had it all figured out, and then this awesome mustang comes along and throws me for a loop. What to do, what to do? Help me please. :icon_confused: LOL

tough decision. love both cars.

Simple math really. Mustang has 82 more HP same MPG, more interior room, better ride quality, more cool toys like SYNC. The 370z handles and stops only marginally better so the Mustang is without a doubt better bang for the buck.

Plus the Mustang sounds better when floored!!!!

if the 370 is like the 350, you wont have a back seat....if that matters? i thought about getting a 350 back in the day,but needed more than just a 2 seater.

obviously coming on a mustang site, it will not be a very fair comparison.....

oh, and the only people i know who drive 350/370's are GIRLS!!

Just my 2cents, I am a Ford man and always will be. I will support them over any import models.

Let me ask you guys this. I have 36,000 to spend before TT&L. The 40th anny Z is decked out except for navigation for $35,900. How well equipped of a 6 speed 5.0 can I get for that amount? Also what options do you recommend I get? I love the glass top by the way. That is nice as hell. Thank you so much in advance.

Tell you the truth... My 2010 (which is about $800 cheaper than the 2011) was almost 38k MSRP... I got it for 30.5K. I got everything but glass roof, track pack, and 401 spec package...

You won't be able to deal on the 5.0 as much as the 370z. You most likely will not be able to walk on a lot and walk away with a 5.0, most likely you will have to order. In the end its up to you. I looked at the 370z and 350z when looking at my Mustang. I felt the Mustang was overall a better package (I had a G35 before that which is very similar to the 350z). I liked the interior, ride, exterior, and most importantly the engine. So much torque and even a little throttle nothing beats that V8 sound.

Both are amazing cars. Hope that gave you what I went through and helped you make up your mind a little better.

i would say the cars cost wise will come out about the same, a nicely optioned 5.0 will run around that price also.

the Z is a very nice car and i dont really see anything wrong with getting one if that is what you want.

The 5.0 is raw power like you wouldnt believe from what i have heard from someone testing the 5.0 and v6 out yesterday. i would take the beast over the Z anyday :)

both are cool cars. styling wise the Mustang wins out hands down.

sadly, like someone above posted, I too associate the Z cars with women. they lack a sense of masculinity.

still, both cars are pretty nice and fun to drive

i think the Z repsonds pretty well to some modding to make them even more fun, they weigh a little less than the stang too. its a good car with a solid V6 in it that actually should compete with a 2011 V6 stang
