Question special education stang

so, my stang needs to go to summer school. i got it out tonight, for the first time in about 2 weeks. a couple pulled up besides me that were behind me, and told me that every time I shifted, the brakes turned on.

i backed against a wall at night and tried it. sure enough, every time i pushed in the clutch, the brake lights would cycle [i have sequentials].

if i support the brake pedal by putting my foot behind it and pulling it towards me, then i can depress the clutch and the brake lights don't cycle. so, i think the clutch movement is causing the brake pedal to move slightly, causing the lights to cycle.

any advise for a fix? new pedal assembly? the clutch does squeak when i cycle it, maybe i need a little oil in there somewhere? or maybe the brake pedal shouldn't be so sensitive?

Make sure the pedal assembly is all tight and nothing is loose first. Sounds like its twisting or something.
