GT500. they have the history to back the name, they hold their value exceedingly well

and Hurst = Olds IMO. Sure you see Hurst equipment in all muscle cars...but a Hurst car is one of those old 442's.

pass

Hurst did a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 pace car as a promotional package, and a very limited number were produced; yes.
But they have now expanded into the modern muscle cars (Camaro, Challenger, Viper, and of course, Mustang.)
The Mustang is a take of of the old 1969 442 pace car, but redesigned & powered up for today.

The best thing about the Hurst Stangs is what they put into the car horse power & handling wise; I think.

OP - What do you mean "available"?? The article stated "One-of-a-kind" and went on to say it was going to be auctioned off in Jan 2010 (4 months ago).....you act like this is a package you can walk into the dealer and order.....what am I missing here?

Well every car is a "one of a kind" but i never said that this mustang was. But, that one did sell for $133,000 at Barret Jackson.
The point is, the money spent is more of an investment compared to other similar performance packages from companies like Shelby or Roush.
Plus Hurst has been around longer

You keep reciting the amount it went for at Barret Jackson. Keep in mind that it was for a charity, and charity cars drive up the prices of auctions. You could auction off a rusty VW bug and it will get more then it should ever sell for.

True. It may be an inflated example; but I still feel that its a highly valuable car and a great performance package.

Hurst Performance Vehicles (HPV) also offers the Series 1 Kits for 2010 and 2011 Mustangs. They are available from Hurst and authorized dealers throughout the United States. I am getting ready to have a kit installed on my black 2011 Mustang GT by SuperTune Performance (www.supertuneracing.com) in Stilwell, Kansas (Kansas City). I will post pictures after it is done.
