GUYS...whats the felt thing? I've got scratches and my tint shop said that Fords are "just that way".
Here's the felt peice inside of the windows that helps protect the tinting. I just assumed it came that way from the factory but maybe my tint guy did it? I would be very surprised if he put it on there but since I never looked before I got it tinted I will never know...

I had several scratches on both windows. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought two packages of adhesive-backed black felt for $.99 each. After removing the door panel, I installed the felt. I took my car back to have it retinted and haven't had any problem since. My tint has a lifetime warranty, so hopefully it will last a lifetime.

Had mine tinted the first time and scratches started showing within a few weeks. Tint guy installed the felt strips and redid the tint. No problems since.

I just got mine tinted a week ago with the titanium or metal tint. The tinting guy said there's a lifetime warranty for fading, peeling, and cracking. However, there is no warranty at all for scratches. So check to make sure what a lifetime warranty actually covers. Hopefully the metal in my tint will make it a little more impervious to scratches. Fortunately for me, I don't roll down my windows much, so that will help in the long run.

I've been a little puzzled by the problems some people have had with their tinting... I had my vert done back in May and have had no scratches at all. I'll take a very close look in the morning, but I'd be surprised if there is anything worth noting... am I just lucky, or had a real good installer?
