I like the way it looks but should you have that chrome pony over the airbag?

Man! You guys are so safety conscious!

See above about the airbag.... I'll also add that I only attached the adhesive to the lower portion of the emblem so if the airbag were to inflate it would stick to the bottom portion of the dash and won't fly straight out. Make sense?

I don't normally post on forums, but created an account just to post on this thread. I was in Purchasing at Ford for 4 years. During that time I was in Brakes (including Stability Control) and Safety (Airbags and Seatbelts). I sourced both the Stability Control system and the Airbags for the S197. In fact I negotiated the contract on this Passenger Airbag (PAB). I worked with Engineering and Suppliers daily, and saw this PAB in testing.

DiscoDave your mods have been great and everything you have done is fantastic. That said, it is very very dangerous to have the pony over the airbag. The force of the airbag against the pony is so extreme that it will likely severely injure or kill your passenger. I realize that having a passenger and getting in an accident is extremely rare, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I am sorry to be preachy, but it really worries me.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Landon

Thanks! I thought it turned out good too. Definitely not something you see every day and definitely stands out.
