Default mustang GT handling characteristics??

I have an '07 Gt on smooth pavement the car handles like its on rails, at high speeds the car is stuck like glue, however it does not like uneven seams in the pavement or bumps as this upsets the car a bunch. this is of course when I am in a turn loading the suspension one way or the other. I was running about 85mph the other day at the same time turning going over a bridge as I left the bridge the seam to the pavement was uneven and the car really came un planted to the asphalt. I am just wondering if this is normal for the car, it keeps me from really pushing the limits of the car because I have to leave something in the bank incase I encounter some unexpected bumps in the road.

You need lower control arms and what really worked for me was C.H.E. K-member brace with torque limiters, really keeps the drivetrain from sloshing around.

Not many bridges on a race track so it sounds like your car handle to good for you as it is

Edit: better suspension parts. Yes it's common on stock cars ESP with live rear ends

I've noticed the same. It's obvious in regular driving as well. Small irregularities in road surface jolt the car like it has no suspension. I'll put up with it though, this cars worth it haha.

I've no idea what suspension mods you've made, but the biggest aid to handling that I'd made to my '08 Bullitt, was a set of Koni yellows and Vogtland springs. The stock dampers are crap, and let the rear hop on the slightest pebbles while turning hard. Konis will make a huge difference. Don't just blame the stick axle. It can be tamed, and tuned to perform much better...
