Have you tried engaging "hill assist mode"? There should be a button on the auto shifter. It will force the tranny to go through all of the gears. Right now, it is probably skipping gears.. resulting in a less aggressive feel.

"Hill mode eliminates sixth gear, extends lower gear operation on uphill climbs, and provides additional grade or engine braking for coast downs."

I think the 5.0 will play an optical affect on these folks...
Nothing wrong with the back end mate, the car has morr powar. LOL.

If I was to buy a new Stang, I wouldn't let the design be a deal breaker for me as I'd mod the schit out of this car anyway...
