Jay Leno seemed to really like the car? What options did yours have?

Lol, perception I imagine has a huge influence. My first experience driving Mustangs was at my local dealer. First I drove the 2010 GT, and I was like YES, it was much more enjoyable than our Solstice GXP, which is a fun turbo car to zip around in. Then, I test drove the 5.0 and as soon as I went WOT, my father slowly let off a ****. I get the same reaction with anyone who gets into it :P. However,I feel you would get the same reaction on that CBR and more so I would imagine.

I don't think I'd go WOT with passengers in the car if that is the reaction. Cleaning that up would get old real fast...

. . . my 07 GT has Tokico dampeners that are stiff.
Dampers can make a HUGE difference in the ride quality. Best ride comes when the amount of shock/strut damping is one third to maybe one half of what gets you up around best grip.

Somewhat separately, brand "T" shocks/struts tend to give a stiffer ride over sharp bumps anyway, at least their (adjustable) Illumina series very definitely do.

Of course you're going to notice what isn't there (NVH and tighter suspension control).

Maybe I need to leave the bike parked for a week drive my GT then go back and give her another try.
However, I am pretty hot for a 350/370Z roadster these days, but I would like to give the 5.0 another chance.

If the 5.0 felt slow to you, then the 350/370Z will feel like a tortoise.

Actually he may like the feeling of the Z better only because it will be lighter and more agile to some extent like his bike. Who knows though. He could have been drunk when he posted this too, cause i am hearing the exact opposite form everyone else.

I don't think just because its a smaller ride that the Z would be perceived as faster. The 370Z has a curb weight/power ratio of 9.64 lbs/hp with its fancy auto, the 5.0 has 8.75 lbs/hp with a manual tranny. That 2008 CBR1000RR has a ratio of 2.47 lbs/hp, that is a radical change of perception.

However, that is a comparison between a crotch rocket and a muscle car. Two things that are in the automobile category and differ from there.

For a car that is suppose to have 400+ HP it just wasn’t that fast and the suspension felt like a caddy…just plain mushy!
Now I understand some of that is perception on my part because I rode into the dealer on my 2008 CBR1000RR so any car I drive feels slow in comparison.
On top of that the car was a vert and my 07 GT has Tokico dampeners that are stiff.
All of this could mean my perception is a bit skewed, but I have to say I was just feeling very mehhh!

I will say I like the new interior a lot and I am now convinced whatever I buy next will be a vert!
What do you guys think of the new 5.0, love it or hate it?
Well I had a 07 GT done up a bit with carbon fiber ram air hood, cold air intake, tuned, exhast etc. Thing went like snot. Sold it and bought a Challenger RT. Today I went and drove the new 5.0 6 spd stick, 3.73 gears and 19"s . All I can say is I am trying real hard to not buy it. I was blown away. Not only in seed but by the whole package. I thought the fit n finish on the 07 GT was nice but this is like a $60,000 german car. I realize going from my RT to this is gonna feel different but let me tell you, my RT is no slouch. 13.1 in the quarter. Anyways, I have to get this 5.0. Cheers
