Notice there are no cords to deal with. It's all integrated into the mount. True plug-and-play.

Forgive me if this ends up being a repeat reply but I wasn't sure the last message went through. I am looking for that EXACT GPS mount. Can you tell me who makes this or where I might locate one online?

Thanks!!!

So I picked up this Arkon lighter socked mount and it looks great BUT my GPS doesn't power off when the car is turned off. It seems like this lighter socked continues to give power even when the car is off. What do you guys do about that? Thanks!

I tried this and had all sorts of problems with it. The little spring clips in the lighter can't grip it tight enough to keep it from torquing. Every thirty minutes I'd have to rotate it back into position. My unit also wasn't very well made and broke after a couple of months. After that I just did what everyone else does and mounted the suction cup between the air vents. That seems to be the best compromise.

I see one of the biggest advantages to this mount is that you can easily take the GPS (and mount) down and toss it in the center console, without leaving a telltale for a thief of a windshield mount or suction cup mark... So it's just never bothered me that the jack was live when the car is off.
