Default Automatic trans, strange sounds when shifting gears (BAMA tune)...

I have a 2009 GT AUTO. When I have my Bama 93 OCT Race tune loaded (as well as any other Bama Tune) there is a strange shifting sound. It almost sounds like a whoosh / like air pressure being released when the transmission switches gears. Anyone have any ideas?

Does it do this when you reload your stock tune?

No, not with the stock tune. It almost sounds like a quick shot of steam.

I think I have this too with my 93 Bama tune. It only happens when I punch it and it shifts close to red line. All other times it's fine. I was always told that it's just shifting hard and that's good for the trans

I have an auto as well

Could you make a video of it? I've ran a Bama tune for a good while in the past.

No ability to make a video at this time. There is no CAI installed. Only a 93 Bama Race tune.

Hmm...

I have the Bama 93 race tune with an auto, and don't notice any sound like that. Just shifts very firmly.

Mine's still doing it and I haven't figured it out. It's only when I punch it and it shifts at or close to redline. Normal driving it's fine. Called AM's tuning department and they haven't experienced anything like this before. The sound slightly resembles a blow-off valve, like air is being released. I'm puzzled

I'm going to wait for BAMA to chime in but I believe its just the line pressure your hearing. I have it too with my Brenspeed tune. More line pressue=harder shifts + more noticeable sound of these shifts.
