Default Just orderd a 2011 GT premium 5.0. Will i be disapointed???

I just orderd a new 2011 GT premium Mustang.

5.0 6spd Auto
Kona blue

I have been reading all the hype on the new 5.0 with 412hp and 390tq. And about 12.7 quarter's. with 4.4s 0-60.

Is this stuff accurate. I just read somewhere that the new mustang wont get to the low 13's even?

Im going to be upset if this thing doesnt perform as i have been reading.

What can i suspect?

did u test drive one first before u bought it. There are a few guys here that have and were not blown away by the performance. But it sounds like a with a few bolt ons this thing can be a beast on the track with some good tires

No, nobody around here has one.....

So what are the actual quarter mile times for the auto with 3.15 gears. I believe the manual with 3.73 can do 12.7s.

But will the auto to.

I read a few places that people with stock autos ran 12.7s. Then after buying it, i read somewhere today that that was BS possibly. Im just confused.

I scowered the net for awhile before buying this car. And i can still pull my order back if i get the real info.

My plates read 11SCNDS

I will get there at 2000ft above sea level.

Just going to see how much it costs me to achieve it.

I set a goal of ten grand complete.

My gears, tires and rims are setting me back $3500 of that so we'll see.

I am guessing the auto is a 13 second car bone stock.

13.0s flat? or in the 13's? Because there is a difference.

Thats what im getting at. I know the rear gears are high but i thought maybe the auto compensated with low 1st and 2nd gears.

you will be disappointed knowing that you could have had a very very low mileage GT500 I am talking under 10k miles. for about the same money and pimping 550rwhp with a tune and pulley chance.

I test drove a vert 5.0 auto the other day, and I really couldn't tell that big of a difference between it and mine. They are going to call me when they get a standard in a few weeks, so I am curious. Now that I have a daily driver yota, I really don't think I could ever be talked into trading the Cali Special for anything........

Sounds like you are crying before you were hurt. If you bought this car to be a track monster be prepared to put out some dough. The numbers Ford claims are not at the rear wheel fyi.
