Default slp loudmouth swap

ok so i got some used slp to switch with my current flowmasters. I went to take off the flowmasters and it would not come off. First off I want to know how to tell if they are welded or not. Honestly I just think they are so corroded and wd40 would prob be the solution. I never did any thing with exhaust before so I'm clueless. Also its pretty rusty and flaky, so this probably means its not welded right? any tips greatly appreciated.

i would say wd40 and some force. Hopefully there not welded but if they are you will see like a bead like look on the metal that is raised a little bit.

I cant imagine them being that tight. try some PB blaster(works better than WD40) and try to wiggle the flowmasters back and forth till they start to come off.

How about I just take the SLP's off your hands then you don't have to mess with them? Sorry couldn't resist.

+1 on the PB Blaster and some force.

Unless whoever put in the Flowmasters had them welded??

ya there is a clamp, thats why i was pretty sure they werent welded, although some people get creative. I just wasnt sure because of how freaking tight they were and Im not weak by any means. Tomorrow I will try some WD40 and if not I will try the PB Blaster. Hopefully if i do get to this tomorrow I will do a video of flowmasters and slp to add to the youtube collection of exhaust.

Spray some PB Blaster where the pipes slide together. Let it sit for a few them try pulling and twisting the muffler off...
