Resonators or Hi FLo Cats

which one will help with trumpeting from the flowmasters (not the classic). I was hoping u guys could steer me in the right direction here. Which one will rid of trumpeting or atleast reduce it. Resonators or Hi flo. Or will neither do anything.

thanks

Either one will work. Resonators would be the cheaper option but hi-flows would be the more environmentally friendly option.

go on ebay and buy the pypes m80's and have them mounted before your axles and keep your flowmasters at the rear. you can get a set of the m80's for like $80 and have them welded in for like 30

Ditto on the M-80S. can get them pretty cheap at jegs and they will help clean up the sound without losing the tone. had mine on the car for a year now and they still look good and work great!

both will clean up the sound and reduce the db levels
the resonators will probly be cheaper and easier to put in.

Cats will most likely help more with the trumpeting. The resonators will help some but not as much as a set of hi flow cats.

i'm running an or/h with magnapacks and bassani's at the rear...

don't do either lol, let it roar man

ronniegibson1978 06-15-2010 01:20 PM

if ya wanna let it roar take off all cats and run muffler deletes...it was a total blast going thru the middle of town at night and pulling up next to bmw's, jaguar's, and mercedes and just letting it hammer down...

Here is my car with kooks longtubes catted h-pipe and roush offroad exhaust(basically resonators in mid pipes).
