Oil separator installation w/pics - not very detailed though

Does a breather alleviate any pressure? What exactly do they do again?

Breathers were generally used for the valve cover where the air would be entering into the crankcase system. You but a breather there, so that it could introduce filtered air into the system. Some people still use them, but on our cars it seems it pulls air from the intake tubing. Now, whether that is a good idea or not, I don't know. But I don't like the idea of metered air leaving the intake track.

Here is my separator with some lines. I just used a line that fit both the 1/2" and 3/8" fittings.

And yes, you can use a breather on the venting side, but it will get oiled up rather quickly I'd think.
