My 2006 Mustang iPad Install
#31
Awesome, awesome, awesome! I totally want to do this in my car. I had recently been looking around at aftermarket stereos and nothing really jumped out to me, as I always just wished I could have a larger iPhone for my car. This is it. Nice work! ....any more tips on your install would be appreciated.

nice! this is the only real reason to buy an iPad when you already have an iPhone the iPad is the same or cheaper than a standalone in-dash navi setup but way more powerful and flexible.
I'm going to get one before too long but I'm just going to make a mount for mine and have the iPad be removable. this is for two reasons mainly, first is then I could use the iPad everywhere not just in the car. second is we get get a lot of smash and grabs in the parking lot at my job so I don't keep anything valuable in sight in my car.
thanks for posting!

If the iPad is jailbroken (which I know this one is) you can have a volume control in SBSettings via package from Cydia. Or once a jailbreak is actually released for the new firmware, you can also have a volume slider in the app switcher, which is accessible anywhere if you weren't aware.
