True.

BUT YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE 6.5" YOU DAMN MUTANT!!!!!

In all seriousness, this is an issue with tall people...
Not a lot of knee clearance with the S197, I have customers that got custom seats and they're not 6.5".
If you have bags in the seats, then it's start to be a PITA to deal with it and retrofit to your size...

Not sure what's up with Ford and the steering wheel/adjustment. I can't stand mine but after looking at every available option have just learned to live with it. I'd like either a smaller wheel or more tilt adjustment and there's no way to get either w/o making the car illegal (removing airbag etc).

Looks like the 11's are the exact same setup....

How tall are you?

Good but sad to know I'm not alone. I'll be going back to drive a another 11' GT but this time a deluxe package model which has a manual drivers seat. I'm thinking perhaps without all the packaging required under the seat for the electric seat adjustment motor there might be just enough travel to make this car reasonably comfortable without having to spend close to a grand to have to seat rails moved back further.

If all else fails I'm just going to wait for the new Explorer. I won't buy a Camaro or a Challenger after having driven the Stang. I'd pretty be discontent having a muscle car that's not a sports car. The Stang is both. What's not to desire?

Bullit, I'm pretty sure the manual seats have the same frame, so it's not sure you'll gain anything.
If this is a fix for you, you could always get the premium package car and use the passenger side seat frame for the driver.
Unless the new Stang has the passenger seat powered as well now.
It'd be a shame that you be forced to get an Explorer because of the freaking seats...

I'm 'only' 6'1'' :-) but damn...a whole 1'' of tilt just don't get it. My 02' camaro could tilt the wheel completely vertical, along with the foxbodies, dodge trucks, toyota trucks, prelude, crx, trans am, etc etc etc allowing me to drive at a comfortable low seat height with my wrist resting on top of the wheel...not this one. hell ALL of my cars/trucks had more tilt adj than this thing does! and the wheel feels huge to me, maybe its the thick grip not sure but it seems like its huge. not a fan.

Oh and of course, you can't properly roll in a 5.0 unless you cruise on:

lol

There. Fixed my image that wasn't always showing up in my first post.

-----

When I’m cruisin’, to A-1-A
Zero to 60, 4 seconds don’t play
This ain’t no joke, and you can see the smoke
I’m burnin’ rubba
You heard me clear I didn’t stutta

...

Cause I’m sweatin’ like steam and you can feel the flow
When I’m rollin, in my 5.0

...

I don’t drive 55 when I’m in my ride, I just glide
My head leaned to the side.
I cruise the A-1-A with a plan in mind
