2011 GT Decisions

Although I have had many manuals I have to say this might be the easiest one to drive. A manual in a sports car is the only way to go for me. The only time I sometimes second guess myself is when I am in stop and go traffic. That part can suck sometimes. This is just my opinion and to each his own, but I feel like you get so much more out of the car with the manual.

I don't think you should be worried that this will be your first manual. I had maybe 15-20 mins of experience driving a manual before I bought my '06 GT. It's fairly easy to learn and the more time you spend behind the wheel, getting a feel for the car, the better you'll get. I can't see myself driving anything but a manual now. It's definitely a more rewarding driving experience and I think you'll be missing out if you choose to go w/ an auto simply because you lack experience with a manual.

Once you get used to driving a manual as a DD you won't notice the difference between it and an auto, shifting becomes second nature, as many have said manuals are fun and I couldn't see myself having an auto Mustang.

But.....I might add......
My white gt is an AUTO. I dearly love that car. I'd likely sell every last standard I had to keep it. So, don't let anyone tell you autos are no fun in these cars. I have had so much fun in that car.......

The backseat is the same in auto and manual cars.
