But again... why does this talk EVEN MATTER right now when I am trying to find out not what the car is programmed for.... BUT WHAT PHYSICAL gears are in the car?
NO programming will tell me this.....

I give up. Figure it out on your own.

Most manufacturers list unmounted tire height. Actual height will be determined by rim width, inflation, and load on the tire. There is no way this will be the same for one tire mounted on a variety of rims. The only way to get it right is to measure your tires on your vehicle.

Angry Gear Problems AGAIN.

SON OF A BITCH.

I had a post last night about making sure the shop put 4.10's in my car
and did not put in 3.73's by accident
I took the car to a shop they put it on the lift.
Good news is that they are 4.10s.

Bad news is that he called me to look under the car.
He asked me how long it had been since i had the gears changed.
I told him it was right on a week. He shows me where it looked like there was a bearing leak. He said that that spot should be dry by now.

I look and there was a good area of the parts that was wet.
So now the damn bearing and pinion seal or whatever is freaking leaking.

He said it was not a horrible leak but that he would take my car right back to where it was and have them fix it.

I called the place and told him about the problem.
He acted shocked and said this almost never happens.
So I get to drive 3 friggin hours on Monday to have them fix this SOB.

This on TOP of the tune probs I was having.
I AM NOT HAPPY.
I better not have to rent a damn hotel for the night for them to fix this.
I will get there at 9am on Monday.

What exactly are they going to have to do to fix this?
Are they going to have to get new parts or use the ones that are on there now to fix the problem?

AND IS IT EVEN SAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE THE CAR THERE?

please dont make more threads on ths issue, you have made 3 so far about the exact same problem. makes it hard to give you answers that arent repeats if you do this.

I am sorry. Did not mean to mess things up.
I am just really frustrated now.

I have no clue what they need to do in order to fix this issue.
If they have to take apart what they did... or just re tighten something, if they have to redoo the whole gear job... if they have to use new parts and get ANOTHER bearing kit since I had them replace the bearings the first time with a full install kit.... I have no clue what they need to do to get it fixed right and what new parts, if any.. it is going to take.

I have no idea what they are going to have to do.
I have no clue if it is even safe for me to drive in the meantime or if it is safe to drive there on monday 3 hours away.

I just feel at a loss on info and things just keep piling up on me.

edit: jesus, you freak out over everything. had this window open too long before I got back to the PC and missed a few posts. Best of luck with your leak

Where is the leak? Take a picture.

If it is leaking out of the front of the rear housing it is probably the crush sleeve. It may or may not need a bearing kit. Whatever parts are needed will be covered by the shop.

hopefully it just didnt seal right. and they just gotta redo it, or maybe overfilled.
i had a leak coming out of the drain hole in a TA performance rear end cover, just resealed it and it was ok.
its always a good idea to keep an eye on new mods you put in just to make sure its in good and working properly.
thats just how modding goes. its not always perfect.
