Took Home New 2011 GT 5.0!!!!!!
Got myself a new Race Red 2011 GT 5.0!!! Manual, Brembo pkg, black stripes, and 3.73s. Sold my 2006 GT Premium with CAI and tune for a good price and got this.
One thing I have not seem anyone on the forums mention is the smoothness of this engine. My 4.6 always felt harsh, both shifting and accel. This engine and transmission is smooth as butter. It is almost rotary like (wife has an RX8) in how is accelerates through all RPMs. This is my theory as to why some members have said they test drive one and it doesn't "feel" like it pulls as hard as their mustang. Trust me, it does. It may not feel like it, but you are moving. Also not mentioned is the interior. Improvements on all aspects over the 2006. SYNC almost made it worth it to me, but on top of the 5.0, the rest is just icing, lol.
