Swapping for 5.4L 4V
I am doing an engine build currently and came across SHM's 5.4L block:

2nd one down... just the block...
Just curious if anyone has used these in their builds and if so what you think of them. Thanks everyone
If you wanna toss in info on your builds that would be much appreciated...
My goal is to build a very durable 5.4L 4V engine... either going with a twin turbo setup or a SC running a lot of boost... also thinking of Nitrous down the line... I want an engine that will allow me room to grow in the future...not really any budget limit as of yet... going more for overall integrity and performance...
I HAVE been reading a lot on this forum and many others and have a few products that I am looking at as far as Rod's... still working on what the best crank might be along with pistons (so input on this would be appreciated)...
Thanks everyone in advance... all help is welcome

Sean Hyland has been successful with the modular mills. He makes good stuff.
But I'd get a 5.4 from a 99/03 Navigator for about $1200 and do the internals before you go FI.
You'll save a bunch that way and you'll already have the heads etc...
What HP range are you looking for?

If you want insane numbers I'd go with Turbo or the 4.0L Whipple.

Who makes the best Crankshaft for our motors... able to withstand up to like 3000hp or so... I saw one on MMR's site but I dont know much about it nor have I heard of anyone running it... Lets set 2500HP as the top... I will probably end up at first around 1200 or so... As time goes on and the applications change I might end up pushing much more than that...
Thanks everyone for the replies thus far, I appreciate it
